After many years of watching family and friends go through the heartbreaking experience of trying to figure out what needs to be done after a loss, and watching them take on all of those tasks, Katie Bruell thought, “If someone had done this before, it would be straightforward. But instead, every person is figuring it out for the first time all over again, and at one of the worst times in their lives. There has to be a better way!” This is when the idea for Mariposa After Loss Assistance was born. Katie was thrilled to find out that other people had the same idea when she found the Professionals of After Loss Services member group. Thanks to their training and a lot of research on the ground in Los Alamos, Katie is ready to help with all of your after loss needs.
Katie Bruell has lived in the Los Alamos area since 2000. She raised her two boys here while running the Los Alamos Nature Center. Now she is a certified tax preparer with H&R Block, and spends her free time trail running, reading, and playing with her dog and cat.
